I was ecstatic when Greg and Cole chose me to be their wedding photographer!  We sat down over coffee at Starbucks and they told me a little about the plans they’d made so far.  Banff, The Rimrock, Great Gatsby… what photographer wouldn’t dream of shooting a wedding like that?

Being that they were getting married in June, however, was a little nerve wracking.  The weather is a toss up at the best of times.  Needless to say, when I saw the forecast in the days leading up to June 14th, I was a little nervous.  There was nothing but rain (and lots of it) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and Saturday they were calling for a 60% chance of thunder showers.   They took the chance anyways and pushed ahead with an outdoor ceremony… and good thing they did because mother nature cooperated and we were lucky enough to get some warm weather and sun!   My worries aside…. Greg and Cole had a few of their own.  Cole’s kilt arrived (straight from Scotland) on Thursday, two days before the wedding (talk about timing), and luckily for Greg’s sister, she managed to swing by their house on the way to Banff after they realized that Greg forgot his suit at home!

After shooting their wedding though, there’s only one word to describe Greg and Cole’s wedding.  Together.  It was a first for me to shoot a couple that got ready for their wedding day together, followed with their family to congratulate and send them off before the ceremony.  There was nothing but love in that room.   Together they toasted their guests after their ceremony, and together they entered the reception with their guests.  Everything was perfect.

A huge thank you to Debbie Wong, my amazing second shooter, and Kailey from Postcard Weddings & Events… my day was a breeze thanks to these two lovely ladies!

Instead of wedding gifts, some chose to make a donation…. what an amazing idea!

Cole’s parents knew how to throw it down!  Talk about an amazing party afterwards!

Greg and Cole, I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend my Saturday!  Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
