I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kennedy and Theo on their wedding day (and engagement session)! They chose The Lake House (every Calgary wedding photographer’s dream) as their wedding venue. It couldn’t have been more perfect! I always love shooting at the Lake House (which I’ve blogged in the past, here). Their food, gracious staff and ambiance is always on point. Kennedy and Theo chose a beautiful dusty rose and navy pallet for their wedding theme, which complimented their day incredibly well. Ken’s bridesmaids dresses tied in with their beautiful bouquets (expertly done by Pretty Petals) perfectly. Theo and his groomsmen had custom tailored suits made (by Indochino). Their suits popped against the greenery at the park we chose for their portraits. Something Borrowed Beauty did an incredible job on Kennedy and her bridesmaids. Their hair and makeup looked elegant and flawless!
Because their timeline allowed it, we were able to sneak to a park close-by to the Lake House to do their wedding party shots separately. We then headed back to the Lake House so Kennedy and Theo could see each other first the first time that day, down the aisle! It was absolute perfection and you could just feel the love they had for each other. After they said their “I do”s, we went back to the park to pop some champagne to celebrate! Although I’m blogging this at the end of 2022, I almost forgot how smoky the city was in August, 2021. I was just happy it wasn’t the typical blazing sun like we normally have, needless to say!
Kennedy and Theo wrapped up their wedding with a stunning reception filled with delicious food (and pies by Pie Junkie!) Together they had the most beautiful first dance surrounded by all their family and friends!
