Summer engagement sessions in Calgary truly bring the romance to every session. Between the warm summer light and the scenic landscapes around town, it truly makes me happy! I prefer to capture my engagement sessions roughly two hours prior to sunset. The perks are less people/spectators and you don’t have to work around that harsh midday sun.
I’m so excited for these two to tie the knot at the Fairmont Banff Springs mid-August. Here’s a little from my amazing couple below!
How did you meet?
We met through neighbourhood friends. My best friend and I lived a few houses apart growing up. A few years ago my friend bought her own house, Kyle owned the house across the street. After hearing only good things about Kyle, she collaborated with other neighbours to set us up. We went on a blind date, and the rest is history! As an added bonus, I once again live across the street from my best friend. Maybe this was her master plan all along!
How did you get engaged?
We got engaged at Emerald Lake Lodge. It had been snowing all day, and the whole place looked picture perfect. It was late in the evening, we were sitting in front of a fire with a glass of wine. Kyle told me to close my eyes because he had a gift for me. When I opened my eyes he was on one knee holding the most beautiful ring. I remember being so shocked that I said “You want to marry me?”. He had to ask if that meant “Yes”, which of course it did!
