I was so excited when I had the chance to chat with Sue and hear all about her wedding. Â Sue is an opera singer and Beon plays in the PGA (talk about talent out their ears!). Â She also informed me that her ceremony would be spoken in nothing but Korean. Â As a photographer, that’s a little bit daunting since I had no idea what was going to happen, and when. Â That being said, her amazing family helped me along the way and it was such an incredible experience.
We started their day off with them getting married at the Silvertip and followed with photos at Quarry Lake Park. Â From there, we headed back to the Silvertip for their Lunner. Â Sue and Beon said their traditional Korean outfits were loose fitting (I had no idea what to expect), so when they arrived in them, I was SO excited. Â They looked absolutely incredible. How did you meet?
Our mutual friend introduced to us to each other. Our first meet up was at Tim Horton’s across McGill’s music building back in Montréal.
How did you get engaged?
I thought I’d never meet such a patient man in my life, so I chose him!!
What is the most memorable moment from your wedding?
The grand entrance! The backdrop was absolutely breath-taking, and the fact we were surrounded by our loving family members made us extremely happy.
If you could give one piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, what would it be?
Don’t get stressed out! Talk to each other and everything will be fine.
P.s. But it is OKAY to be a ‘bride-zilla’ for once in your life-time.
What was your most favourite wedding detail, and why?
The floral centerpieces. I put them together early in the morning on the day of the wedding. It turned out really great and I was very proud of myself!
