I had such a blast with Erika and Ryan at the engagement session in Fish Creek Park. They’re both into classic cars, so it was only natural that Ryan brought along his (gorgeous) truck, which is pictured at the bottom of this post. They’ll be driving not only Ryan’s truck, but also a couple other classic cars on their wedding day (at the Pinebrook Golf & Country Club), which will make for an incredible picture when they’re all lined up along the tree lined path at the club. That mixed with the incredible views overlooking their venue, will make for some incredible photos!
How did you and your fiancé meet?
We met about 9 or 10 years ago through my brother-in-law (Ryan and him used to work together), but, our first real interaction with each other was at Big Valley Jamboree BVJ (Big Valley Jamboree) in 2010. After BVJ we both got busy with our own lives, so it wasn’t until fall of 2013 when we reconnected and started dating.
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day (aside from marrying your spouse)?
Erika: I’m most looking forward to our “first look” and celebrating with all our friends and family.
Ryan: For people to stop asking us when we’re going to get married! (LOL)
Tell us a little bit about your wedding!
We’re getting married in Calgary at Pinebrook Golf & Country Club in October. We’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony, so fingers crossed for nice weather!
What’s been the funnest process of planning your wedding so far?
It’s all been pretty fun so far, especially since we haven’t really felt stressed at all (yet anyway!). However, if I had to pick one thing, it would probably be putting all the centerpieces & decorations together. I’m not the most crafty person, so it’s been fun trying my hand at some DIY projects.
