Ev and Jed are the absolute sweetest.  I truly wish I had their athleticism as well, haha.  They are avid hikers and chatting with them is always such a treat because I can live vicariously through their stories.  They got married on the most *perfect* day in June.  The weather was a photographer’s dream (a light overcast), and the ambiance of the Cochrane Ranchehouse (along with their personal touches)  made for the most beautiful location for their wedding.

      How did you meet?

We met at work when we were both interns. We spent a lot of time with the big group of students, doing a lot of hiking and camping, and taking a lot of coffee breaks together!

      How did you get engaged?

We were hiking the Iceline Trail in Yoho National Park last August. We were about halfway into the hike before it started raining and the light shower turned into a downpour which then turned into hail! We hid out under the trees while the valley echoed with thunder! After about 30 minutes, the thunder and the rain had stopped. We decided to keep going and by the time we reached the summit of the hike, the sun was out and Jed proposed! It was very sweet and perfect for us!

What is the most memorable moment from your wedding?

Walking down the aisle with my parents and seeing Jed for the first time! Jed’s favourite moment is the kiss after being pronounced married!

If you could give one piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, what would it be?

Stay organized, take things one at a time, and remember to enjoy the process!

What was your most favourite wedding detail, and why?

Mine was the bouquets! I love flowers and they were so beautiful! Jed’s favourite was the set up of the dining room (done by a very talented friend of his)
