I met Kristie and Chris through Calgary Wedding Planning Co. and I couldn’t be more thrilled! This wonderful couple is getting married at the Calgary Zoo next June and I can’t wait! Most Calgary wedding photographers love shooting at the Zoo because of the diverse scenery. From the beautiful greenery of the trees, vibrant colours of the flowers and the landscape of the dinosaur park, there’s so much to see and shoot there!
Originally we were supposed to shoot their engagement session earlier in the spring, but due to the Fort Mac fires (and Chris being a firefighter), we had to postpone until later in May. Everything worked out perfect because we finally had some clear skies and warm weather!
How did you two meet?
Chris and I actually met on Plenty of Fish. Chris messaged me first and I was blown away by how much we had in common.
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day (aside from marrying Chris)?
We are so excited to spend an hour with the penguins after our wedding!
Tell us a little about your wedding!
Our wedding will be held on June 3rd 2017 at the Calgary Zoo. The ceremony will be held in the outdoor gardens beside the Enmax Conservatory and the reception will be held within the Enmax Conservatory. We will be surrounded by family and friends as we say our “I do”s.
