A Rustic Wedding at the River Cafe – Calgary Wedding Photographers

Jamie and Tyler got married at the River Cafe in Prince’s Island Park, in Calgary.   For Calgary wedding photographers, shooting in a venue such as this is a wonderful treat.  Not only does the restaurant have beautiful big windows, but the ambiance speaks for itself.  Their food is also divine!   The River Cafe is a stunning venue for any couple looking to get married and have a romantic, intimate feel to their wedding.

We began Jamie and Tyler’s wedding day by taking portraits at a hotel downtown where they were getting married, and met up at Pearce Estate Park where Jamie and Tyler had their first look.  From there we headed to Prince’s Island Park to do their family formals, and then head inside so they could get married!  Jamie’s mom who used to work in the floral industry, made up all the floral decor for their wedding – which was some of the most beautiful I’d ever seen!  After a delicious dinner, Jamie and Tyler had their first dance and cut their “cheese” cake.  A brilliant (and delicious) idea by my couple.  Their cake was made up of 5 different cheese wheels – perfection!  It’s important for couples to heavily research the venues within Calgary, as there are so many wonderful options (such as the River Cafe!)
